Compact with SUV styling has traces that resemble HR-V
Honda was responsible for presenting one of the few (if not the only) world premieres of the São Paulo Motor Show. Developed in Brazil, the WR-V is a compact sport-utility-style Fit-based but with important visual differences from the MPV from which it drifts.
The biggest changes are in the front, which brings new headlights (with LED DLR, redesigned front grille and a new bumper, the result has been harmonious, referring to the SUVs of the brand.
On the other hand, though, the WR-V is a lot like Fit. Behind, the new lanterns are poignant: they gain an extension at the bottom covering the trunk lid. Between them and the plate, a chromed fillet appears to extend the waist line.
No information was released by Honda except for the start date of sales: first half of 2017. The trend is for the range of versions and powertrains to follow the distribution of the Fit line. Prices should be intermediate between the more expensive versions of Fit and the cheaper versions of the H-RV.
